The TSUYOKI Ryuki 95 is a slim jerkbait built to mimic a wounded baitfish darting through the water column. Its slender profile and realistic scale pattern give bass a natural silhouette to key in on, while the tight wobble and subtle roll trigger reaction strikes from fish that are watching rather than actively feeding.
This lure shines when worked with a jerk-jerk-pause retrieve over points, drop-offs, and submerged grass edges. It suspends or slow-sinks on the pause, giving largemouth and smallmouth extra time to commit. Cold front bass, post-spawn fish, and clear-water conditions are where this bait earns its keep.
How to fish it
- Cast past the target area and let the lure settle for a second before starting your retrieve.
- Work the lure with sharp rod snaps followed by a pause of two to four seconds to let it hang or slow-sink.
- Fish it along points, drop-offs, and the edges of submerged grass where bass ambush baitfish.
- Vary pause length based on water temperature, longer pauses in cold water, shorter and more aggressive jerks when bass are active.
