TSUYOKI Ryuki 95 Jerkbait - Slender Minnow Lure for Bass
The TSUYOKI Ryuki 95 is a slim jerkbait built to mimic a wounded baitfish darting through the water column. Its slender profile and realistic scale pattern give bass a natural silhouette to key in on, while the tight wobble and subtle roll trigger reaction strikes from fish that are watching rather than actively feeding.
This lure shines when worked with a jerk-jerk-pause retrieve over points, drop-offs, and submerged grass edges. It suspends or slow-sinks on the pause, giving largemouth and smallmouth extra time to commit. Cold front bass, post-spawn fish, and clear-water conditions are where this bait earns its keep.

- Cast past the target area and let the lure settle for a second before starting your retrieve.
- Work the lure with sharp rod snaps followed by a pause of two to four seconds to let it hang or slow-sink.
- Fish it along points, drop-offs, and the edges of submerged grass where bass ambush baitfish.
- Vary pause length based on water temperature, longer pauses in cold water, shorter and more aggressive jerks when bass are active.
Frequently asked
The 95 mm size covers a wide range of largemouth and smallmouth, from average fish up to solid keepers. It is not oversized, so it will not deter smaller bass either.
This particular finish is a natural shad pattern best suited to clear to lightly stained water. In muddier conditions, a brighter or more contrasting pattern will get noticed faster.
A medium action spinning rod with 8 to 10 lb fluorocarbon or 10 to 15 lb braid with a fluorocarbon leader gives good action and castability without overpowering the light bait.
Cold front conditions, early spring pre-spawn, and clear water fall periods are prime times, since bass often react best to the suspending pause during these windows.
