Product description

The Kingshrimp is a hard-bodied shrimp imitation paired with a spinning blade at the tail, built to combine subtle profile with flash and vibration. The segmented body and metallic finish mimic a fleeing crustacean, while the rotating blade throws off flash and thump that bass can track even in stained water.

Available in four weights from 8.5g to 28g, it covers everything from shallow flats to deeper ledges and drop-offs. Fish it on a lift-and-fall retrieve or a slow steady swim near cover, dock pilings, or rock piles where largemouth and smallmouth key in on crawfish and shrimp forage.

How to fish it

  1. Cast past cover such as rocks, docks, or laydowns and let the lure sink to the target depth.
  2. Work it with a slow lift-and-fall retrieve to mimic a shrimp darting off the bottom.
  3. Pause after each lift to let the blade flash and the body settle, which often triggers strikes.
  4. Switch to a steady swim retrieve along drop-offs and ledges when bass are actively feeding.

Frequently asked

The 14g and 21g sizes are versatile for most largemouth situations. Go lighter (8.5g) for shallow, clear water and heavier (28g) for deeper ledges or windy conditions.

Use natural, translucent shrimp patterns in clear water and darker, higher-contrast finishes in stained or murky water so bass can locate the bait by silhouette and vibration.

A medium to medium-heavy spinning or casting rod with 10-15 lb fluorocarbon or braid mainline handles the weight range well and gives good feel for the blade's vibration.

It also draws strikes from panfish and other predatory species, but it is designed with bass in mind. It performs well from spring through fall whenever shrimp or crawfish forage is active.
