Product description

The Kingdom Floating Popper is a concave-face topwater bait built to chug, spit, and throw water on the surface. The cupped mouth grabs air and pushes a loud pop with every rod twitch, then the bait sits still and rocks in place, giving bass a clear target to strike. A durable finish and 3D eyes add a realistic profile that reads well in clear to moderately stained water.

This popper shines around bass holding near cover early and late in the day, or anytime fish are keyed in on baitfish near the surface. Work it with sharp pops and pauses over grass edges, shallow flats, and around docks. It comes in three sizes, so anglers can match hatch size and casting distance to the water they are fishing.

How to fish it

  1. Cast past visible cover or baitfish activity and let the popper sit until rings disappear.
  2. Snap the rod tip down sharply to make the cupped face pop and spit water, then pause.
  3. Vary pop-pause rhythm; a longer pause often triggers a reaction strike from following fish.
  4. Work the bait along grass lines, dock shadows, and points during low-light hours for best results.

Frequently asked

The 100mm/16g size is a versatile middle ground for most bass water. Go with the 80mm version for finesse presentations or pressured fish, and the 130mm/36g for bigger fish or long casts on open water.

Brighter, high-contrast finishes show up better in stained or murky water, while more natural, translucent patterns work well in clear water where bass get a closer look before striking.

A medium to medium-heavy rod with a moderate tip works well for popper action, paired with 12 to 20 lb monofilament or braid with a fluorocarbon leader for better hook sets and less line drag on the surface.

Early morning and evening are prime windows when bass are feeding shallow, though it can also produce during overcast days or when baitfish are visibly schooling near the surface.
