This sinking minnow is built for anglers who want a bait that gets down fast and holds its line in current or wind. The slim profile and internal weight system give it a tight, erratic wobble on the retrieve and a subtle roll on the pause, mimicking a dying or fleeing baitfish. The reflective foil finish and scale pattern throw flash from every angle, which helps draw strikes in stained water or low light.
It works well for largemouth around laydowns, dock pilings, and deeper grass edges where a subsurface bait needs to stay in the strike zone longer. Smallmouth respond to the erratic jerk-pause retrieve along rock points and channel edges. Because it sinks, you can count it down to match the depth bass are holding at, then work it back with twitches and pauses.
How to fish it
- Cast past the target area (dock, laydown, rock point) and let the bait sink to the desired depth by counting it down.
