Product description

This 7cm, 18.8g hardbait blends a stubby crankbait body with jerkbait action. The slow-sinking design lets you pause it in the strike zone longer, holding depth instead of floating up and out of a bass's face. A built-in rattle chamber pushes a loud, sharp knock that pulls fish out of stained water and thick cover.

Fish it on a twitch-pause retrieve around laydowns, grass edges, and rock. The tight wobble and flash mimic a dying baitfish, which triggers reaction strikes from largemouth holding tight to structure. It also handles pike and other toothy predators, so it doubles as a versatile pick for mixed-species water.

How to fish it

  1. Cast past cover and let the bait settle for a second before starting your retrieve.
  2. Work a twitch-pause cadence, letting the slow sink keep the lure in the zone during pauses.
  3. Target laydowns, rock edges, and grass lines where bass ambush baitfish.
  4. Slow down in cold or clear water and speed up the cadence when fish are active and chasing.

Frequently asked

The 7cm, 18.8g size works well for average to larger largemouth and smallmouth, and it is compact enough to also draw strikes from smaller keeper-sized bass.

Use natural, translucent patterns in clear water and switch to bolder, higher-contrast finishes with more flash or darker backs when the water is stained or off-color.

A medium-power spinning or casting rod with a fast tip works well, paired with 10 to 15 lb fluorocarbon or braid to a fluorocarbon leader for better bite detection and control.

It performs well from spring through fall for largemouth and smallmouth bass around cover, and its slow-sink jerkbait action also draws strikes from pike in mixed-species lakes.
