The Realis Crank M65 is a deep diving crankbait built for covering water and finding bass holding on structure. The wide, buoyant body and long bill combine for a strong hunting action with plenty of flash, kicking out vibration that bass can track even in stained water. The purple and blue shad finish mimics baitfish patterns common to many lakes and reservoirs.

This crank excels when largemouth are relating to deep points, rock piles, or submerged timber and need a reason to react. Cast it out, grind it down to depth, and let it deflect off cover to trigger strikes. It also works as a search bait for smallmouth cruising deeper flats and channel edges during transitional seasons.

How to fish it

  1. Cast past the target structure to allow the bait time to reach full depth.
  2. Use a steady, moderate retrieve and let the bill make contact with rock or wood.
  3. Pause briefly after deflecting off cover to trigger reaction strikes.
  4. Vary retrieve speed on repeated casts until you find what the fish want that day.

Frequently asked

The long bill design pulls it down to a deep diving range, making it suited for points, ledges, and deeper structure rather than shallow cover.

This shad-style finish with flash sides performs well in clear to lightly stained water where bass key in on baitfish profiles.

A medium to medium-heavy crankbait rod with 12 to 17 pound fluorocarbon or monofilament gives the right stretch and depth control for working it through cover.

It works for both. Largemouth respond well around deep wood and rock, while smallmouth often hit it on open flats and river channel edges.
